The Forced Vegetarian

Because of a change in ‘climate’ the forced vegetarian is unable to consume meat. To satisfy her daily protein needs she turned to root vegetables and pulses. Her relationship with meat is complex. Since the termination of meat-eating was the result of external factors the forced vegetarian still has a deep desire for it, although she takes some pride in being able to go without. A shrinking arctic bird is her spirit animal. It switched from a molluscivorous diet to eating rhizomes.
